Building a following on Facebook can seem like a daunting task and it will take some time, but once you get yourself up and running, and you learn how to utilize a few of the Tips & Tricks from this episode, you should begin seeing the results of your tribe building.
Facebook live posts create more reach than static images or regular videos.
Facebook wants us to use Facebook Live! It is Facebook’s latest and greatest marketing tool and they want you to help expand its reach. Your reward for using Facebook Live, rather than just posting a static image or a traditional video, is that Facebook will help your Live video circulate through organic reach.
Create a group
If you’re trying to create awareness for your product or service create a Facebook group! Groups come in handy in many ways. First, groups are very conducive to getting interaction. Group members will receive notifications for new posts which can get the dialogue rolling much more rapidly than a typical page can. Groups are easy to manage and once they get large enough, can provide some really good results for your brand.
Boost your posts
Facebook advertising is the current king of “bang for your buck” advertising. Seriously, some of the results are quite staggering. Spending just $100 on a Facebook ad containing a static image will get you about 7,500-10,000 views. Now that’s a pretty solid deal considering all the other advertising options out there today but it gets even better when we throw Facebook Live into the mix.
Not only will Facebook Live get you more initial reach than a static image or a traditional video but the organic reach numbers of Live videos are off the charts! $100 spent on a Facebook Live ad will get you around 10,000-20,000 views and the organic reach will match those numbers! This means that if I reach 10,000 people with my $100 boosted Facebook Live video, I could expect to be looking at an additional 10,000 people reached organically! This is basically doubling our winnings!
10+ minute Facebook Live ads
The best amount of time to run a Facebook Live video is for more than 10 minutes. The reason this is so important is because Facebook staggers its notifications that let your followers know that you are Live and will give them time to filter into your broadcast. This should be ample amount of time to make sure that your followers will be getting some real value out of what you are showing them.
It’s important to remember that if you don’t have 10 minutes of content and you still want to do a Facebook Live event, just cut it short. Nobody wants to watch 3 minutes of filler just so you can reach your 10-minute goal. Keep your Live events crisp, and informative, and if possible use a script to stay on topic.
